Procedural 3D,
node by node.
A free, node-based 3D app in the spirit of Houdini. Model, simulate and render with MoonRay, or describe what you want and let the AI assistant build the network.
Free to use. macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, Linux on x86_64, Windows through WSL 2.
What's inside
A full procedural toolkit
Build geometry from networks of nodes you can change at any time. Every step stays editable, from the first grid to the final render.
Modelling nodes and VEX
Polygon modelling, booleans, scatter, copy to points, extrude, fracture, metaballs and more, plus VEX wrangles and expressions like $FF in any parameter.
Simulation
Pyro, FLIP, RBD with the Bullet solver, fracturing and SOP solvers, with a flipbook to preview the result.
Volumes and OpenVDB
Create, edit and render volumes, with OpenVDB support.
A USD stage
Lay out shots in a USD stage context with lights, cameras and materials, and render through Hydra.
Rendering with MoonRay
Production rendering with DreamWorks' open-source MoonRay renderer, built in.
Animation and exchange
Keyframes with a graph editor. Import and export Alembic, USD, OBJ and FBX.
AI assistant
Describe it. Get a node network.
Type what you want, or a change to the scene you have. The assistant builds real, editable nodes, the same ones you'd place by hand.
- It works on a copy. Your scene isn't touched until you accept the result.
- It checks its own work. It cooks the nodes it made, reads the point counts and errors, looks at the viewport, and fixes what's wrong.
- You decide. Accept the result, and undo it in one step if you change your mind, or discard it.
Example
A grid of 200 rocks of random sizes scattered on a hilly terrain
- Adding terrain, scatter, sphere, attribute_randomize, copy_to_points
- Checking copy_to_points
- Looking at the scene
- Editing (2 changes)
Scattered 200 rocks over the terrain with random sizes from 0.3 to 1.2, sitting on the surface.
Pricing
The app is free. Pay only for AI.
Everything in the app is free to use. ProceduralFX credits are optional and only pay for the AI assistant. Prices are in Australian dollars.
App
Every node, simulation and renderer.
- macOS and Linux
- Automatic updates
- Use the AI assistant with your own key or a local model
Basic plan
A$12 of AI credit, refilled every month.
- No API key needed
- Unused plan credit doesn't carry over
- Cancel any time
Top-ups
Credit that never expires.
- A$5, A$10 or A$25 at a time
- Used after any plan credit
- Works with or without a plan
Each request uses credit for the AI processing it needs. A typical build of a small setup uses about A$0.10–0.40 with Claude Opus, and less with the cheaper models. The app shows what every request cost. See the refund policy and terms.
